Today we drove back to Munich. The drive from Prague is pretty straightforward. I had been apprehensive about driving through downtown Prague, but at 11:00am on Sunday morning, it was a ghost town.
The drive to Munich from Prague was pretty uneventful. All freeway. The parts in Germany without speed limits were fun. I kept it pretty much as 150 km/h there.. which is about 90 mph. Made the time go fast.
One of the interesting things we saw as we got close to Munich were fields like these with these huge trellises and vine-like things on them. Totally bizzare. Never seen these. Anyone know what these are?
Our hotel room is pretty cool It's a top floor apartment with room for five in beds. Perfect for us! After we settled our belongings, we headed out to a nearby beer garden and met up with my friend, Ed, who happened to be in Munich at the same time. We had a nice chat catching up.
Snuck out with Katie and Elodie to get something I forgot in the car and then we squeezed in a quick walk around Marienplatz.
Tomorrow, we'll go do some touristy type things in Munich.
