Day 10 - On to Prague!

8:15pm - Prague

We said goodbye to Český Krumlov this morning and drove the 2.5 hours to Prague.  The drive was simple.  Prague, itself, is not a city that is encouraging to drive around and our apartment has no parking.  Fortunately, I was able to find a reasonable garage nearby.  I was glad that their website had some pictures and directions because I'm not sure I would have found it otherwise.   I mean, does this look like a parking entrance?

Anyway.  It's all good.  The car is parked and secured and it's only costing me 550 Kc per day... about $27.50 which seems like a good deal.

After parking, we made our way to the apartment and met our landlord, Jaroslav, who showed us around.  The outside of the building looks a little sketchy,

After we dropped our stuff in the apartment, we set off in search of a restaurant Laura found on TripAdvisor.  It was a bit of a hike, but since we spent a few hours in the car today, it felt good to walk -- even if it did drizzle on us a bit.  The restaurant lived up to expectations and we ate a feast!  Katie devoured a roast duck!  I enjoyed several glasses of a Czech dark beer with my meal.

The walk to and from the restaurant gave us our first taste of sights around this city and they did not disappoint

We stopped to do some shopping at a nearby Tesco -- sort of like a Target store -- that place has got everything.  So now we're set with some "eat in" food and laundry detergent... we're washing clothes and planning on how to spend the next three full days sightseeing in Prague before we head back to Munich on Sunday.
